Sibling love in Jane Austen’s fiction revisited

This talk coincides with the Jane Austen Festival, and is being hosted by the ACT Library Service. Glenda Hudson specialises in Victorian literature and the Bristish novel. She has written on the subject of sibling relationships, both functional and dysfunctional, in Jane Austen’s fiction. In this talk, Hudson will offer her perspective on this subject and elaborate on arguments presented in several previous studies, including Sibling Love and Incest in Jane Austen’s Fiction, and in light of her recent work on the novels of other women writers of Austen’s period.
